🌊🚤 How to Winterize Your Pontoon Boat

Cold weather’s coming — and your pontoon deserves a little TLC before the freeze hits! Here’s a quick checklist to keep her in top shape for spring:

1ļøāƒ£ Clean It UpGive your pontoon a thorough wash — inside and out. Remove any grime, food crumbs, and water spots to prevent mildew and staining.

2ļøāƒ£ Drain EverythingEmpty the fuel tank to about ¾ full and add a fuel stabilizer. Drain water from live wells, plumbing, and the engine.

3ļøāƒ£ Engine CareFlush your engine with fresh water, change the oil and filters, and add antifreeze if needed (check your owner’s manual).

4ļøāƒ£ Protect the BatteryDisconnect it, charge it fully, and store it somewhere dry and warm.

5ļøāƒ£ Cover It TightUse a high-quality, waterproof cover to protect your pontoon from snow, ice, and critters.

Bonus Tip:If possible, store your boat out of the water — either on blocks or a trailer — to prevent hull damage from freezing water.

šŸ‘‰ Do this now, and you’ll be ready to hit the water first thing next season with no surprises!
